Press conference announces 5th Pattaya Country Music competition

On Tuesday a press conference conducted at City Hall and chaired by Khun Wirawat, a deputy mayor and Khun Somkiat, the managing director of VC Spot Productions, announced the forthcoming 5th Pattaya Country Music (or Luuk Thung) competition.
Although there have already been 106 entries, the numbers will be reduced by a panel of non hearing-impaired judges to just eight finalists. The public part of the competition will commence on 26 April at the Big C shopping centre in North Pattaya where the eight finalists get a chance to showcase their talents before the general public. The competition will be broadcast live on radio station 104.75FM where listeners can SMS votes for their favourites. The final will be held on 3 May at the new Central Festival Shopping centre on Beach Road. The winner will receive 15,000 baht and a recording contract.
